Benefits Administration
Some variables to consider regarding a benefits administration system:
• An Agnostic Approach to Technology: there are no one-size-fits-all systems.
Multiple Platforms for Enrollment: A vast experience helps clients/brokers to identify specific needs.
Leveraging Costs: Strategic partnerships in many cases subsidize some or all of the costs.
If a benefits admin is already in place, we simply enroll on that existing platform. In situations where a benefits administration system isn’t needed, our team can enroll electronically as a “one and done.” We then send the eligibility files to the carriers for processing. It’s that simple. Let’s eliminate paper and ensure the correct data is inputted to make implementation smoother.
Dependent Eligibility Verification
An advanced verification process that validates the healthcare eligibility of each employee’s dependents. Only 3-8% of dependents on health insurance plans are ineligible for coverage. The estimated annual cost per dependent when factoring in premiums, administrative costs, and claims exceeds $4,000 (Kaiser Family Foundation). BE AWARE: Any significant claim incurred by an ineligible dependent will negatively impact the bottom line of a business, whether full-insured or self-insured.
Business Example:
• Self-Insured Plan with 25 ineligible dependents at $4,000 in annual cost
• Company has 5% Profit Margin
• Company would have to generate $2,000,000 in sales to cover the ineligible dependents on the plan
ICHRA Administration
The Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) is an alternative to offering a traditional group health plan to employees. It’s a specific account-based health plan that allows employers to provide defined non-taxed reimbursements to employees for qualified medical expenses, including monthly premiums and out-of-pocket costs, like copayments and deductibles. Call to find out more in a brief conversation.
• Employees must be enrolled in individual health insurance coverage to use the funds.
• Employers of any size can offer an individual coverage HRA
• HRAs are only for employees, not self-employed individuals
• Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRAs) have grown by nearly 350% since they were introduced in 2020.
